Hard Broom is a ritual goods shop, focused on hand rolled natural incense, ceramics, and incense making workshops. The shop was founded by Morganne Wakefield, a multi-disciplinary artist & designer in 2021, after many years of experimentation with incense.


Sustainability and slowness are at the heart of the project, celebrating the expression of plants through incense making and education.

What is natural incense?

Natural incense refers to incense made from whole plant matter, such as herbs, botanicals, tree barks and resins. The aromas that come through when you burn the incense, are the pure expression of those ingredients.

100% plant-based, non-toxic and free of charcoals and flame accelerants (such as DPG or salpeter).

Hard Broom incense is made entirely by hand using premium and ethically-sourced ingredients.
